The median isn’t the message

This essay isn’t long, but is inspiring. It’s about the author’s dealing with the knowledge that he had a rare and usually fatal cancer. Strangely, for the subject, it’s an uplifting and inspiring piece of writing, and has a lot of morals for life that I won’t bother to spell out.
